need mot does anyone in lapta do that and car tax

I been told I first need to go to the police station to find out if there are any traffic fines waiting as none has appeared where i live sine last may 08

driving dwn lapta we may sometimes have passed the limit of 30 doing 40

or shall i just go and get my rd tax where is the office for road tax in girne thanks

The MOT can only be done by the police at the place behind the police station., garages cant do it. The tax office is the first turning on the left after the waterfall roundabout as you head from Lapta to Girne. The office is on the left hand side, but you may have to pop in to the one on the other side of the road too. Good luck.

police mot centre is the turning by kombos mercedes posted as ARAC KONTROL,hope it helps

If I remember rightly, you have to go to tax office first and pay for your MOT then go to MOT centre with the receipt (make sure your car is clean and your number plates are not soiled or broken!) then go back to tax office with MOT certificate and pay for your road tax.

hi i take my car to Mustafa in a garage in Alsancak, it is located behind St.Tropez restaurant. When my MOT was due for renewal last year, i took it to him and he did everything, he took it to the police station, passed it and collected the new certificate for me! He will also get your emissions test done for you. Very helpful, english turk, highly recommend him, he will also come out to you if you break down etc. Turn left just before St. tropez, heading towards Girne and follow little lane, he is just on left there.
