| Hello Everyone its a long time since I wrote on this blog but have been an avid reader for the past year,I should have moved over to NC last year but my UK house sale fell through,It has now sold again so fingers crossed I will be comming over mid May but I want to rent for at least 12 months before purchasing so I can get to know where all the best places are,One thing confuses me though ,when I read about the cost of beers etc people talk in ytl and I cant find a conversion for this can you help please as all I can see is the new turkish Lira,also if you can advise me where the best places are to meet all you nice people |

| Helot, ytl is New Turkish Lira (Yeni Turk Lirasi) But as of 1st Jan 2008 it is now correct to call YTL just TL. The NEW (Yeni) part has been dropped but people haven't got the idea just yet. In fact many older Turks still say "Milyon" (million) as part of a sales transaction even though that went many moons ago. |
