Can anyone explain this? Is less allowed on the cheaper rate now?

Last month 288 units @ .3000

This month 258 units@ .3000

and then 99 units @ .3500

Hi,

The number of units that you are allowed in each price band is a fixed amount PER DAY, so if the period between readings is longer or shorter than 'normal' then the number of units charged at each rate is greater or less than 'normal'.

If you see what I mean!

I think that it's 8 and a third units per day, so you would be allowed 250 units at each rate in a 30 day 'month', 258 for a 31 day period, etc.

Keith.

Wow your bills all seem a bit high.!! our last one was 156ytl..had the washer on everyday, and the dishwasher twice.when we had the grandchildren over, and the pool is very large too,set at the right times...We have aircons.but with windows on three walls in the bedroom, not used it that much...Guess 156ytl should put a smile on my face now.!

We have separate meters for the house and for the pool:

Last month the house was tl160 (424units) and the pool was tl157 (415 units).

Your pool usage seems very high?

Either you have a very big pool (with a very hefty pump) or you are running the pump for too many hours. With a private pool (low usage bodies wise) & a 1 kw pump using one unit per hr. you should not need to run your pump more than 4 hrs a day. 30 day month x 4 units = 120 units per month. Your usage suggests 14 hrs per day running time?

Re message 5, blimey, you can't have any water problems then! I can only use the washing machine occasionally and am thinking of sending most of my washing to the laundry and as for a dishwasher - can't even think about having one of those.

I've stopped using water when it comes to washing clothes, have had no problems up to now, I've found it

makes it easier to dry them as well. Might have to use more conditioner, mind.
