It's very sad when people think that making a joke about someone who's just passed away is good sport. MJ was surely a troubled soul, and derseves to have a little dignitiy in death don't you think??*!

To the children he abused his death may bring relief .............

No laughing matter but who lets not family members share their bed ? thinking it is a fun thing to do ?

December 1993 declaration was sworn by a 13-year-old California boy who sued Jackson for, among other things, sexual battery, willful misconduct, and emotional distress. The child's declaration includes a graphic account of alleged sexual encounters with Jackson at Neverland and various hotels. Four months after the Los Angeles Superior Court lawsuit was filed, the two sides announced that the matter had been settled, though terms were not disclosed.

PAY OFF ??

Yes, we can mourn the passing of a talented entertainer. And although we can understand that he himself had an odd and abusive upbringing, according to most reports, we should not forget or forgive the damage and hurt he has caused children.

Michael Jackson was able to get away with it thanks to his fame and his fortune.

Totally agree Lizzykins,

Nige,

It was NEVER EVER proven that he abused any child. He was a troubled man all his life through his own abuse and may he R.I.P.

I admire michael jackson for his music, which was unbelievable, but as a human being , that is different......

His music and talent cannot be knocked...may he rest in peace......his music will live forever

But.....if your child was accusing an adult of certain things, would you settle out of court or take it all the way within the court system..(or other means if you could get your hands on the molester) .i know what i would do....and to be honest...accustaions have been made about him for years...no smoke without fire.....

I believe , like always more things will come out now that he is dead...uri geller today saying things that he wouldnt say when michael was alive...why? cause he is ....sorry i cant even think of a word , apart from thinking it is disgusting.....

Every person deserves some dignity and respect in death....his family also......

RIP

If you don't live a dignified and respectful life, why expect to be treated so when you die?

Michael Jackson lived to wind up the press, and he did on several occassions. You honestly don't think that he didn't set up the "I Sleep in an Oxygen Tent" photo, walked around in a surgical face mask, and even appeared in Court in pyjamas so that the gullible press would make a story of it? "All publicity is good publicity" someone once said, and I totally agree.

It really wouldn't suprise me if this "death" isn't one of them. Maybe he will be reborn on the first night of his come back tour. Maybe the promotor is in on the joke that's why they aren't rushing to give everyone a refund. Then we will call him Michael "Messiah" Jackson. Maybe he is the "second coming".

The fact is, no one will ever know what really happened. People have their ideas and opinions which they are entitled to, but no one will ever know the whole truth behind it.

He was undoubtedly one of the greatest showman ever, a gifted entertainer, a musical icon. His music was unique, and enjoyable.

But..... there will always be that "darker" side of his life that followed him to the grave, and since those revelations (whether true or not) gave me an uneasy feeling.

A master at his craft of showmanship in the public eye. Whoever knew the real MJ? Sorry, but IMO, the truth will never be known. Did he or didn't he? Theories and speculation abound, and will be around for as long as the media can spin it, and make a few quid. Whether you believe it or not, it casts a shadow of doubt over his reputation, irrespective of his musical genius.

This evening whether he is "upstairs" or "downstairs" in the world beyond the grave is not a matter for us to concern ourselves with now. He will have been allocated his rightful place.

if im a abused child.....does it make me want to abuse other children!?

if im innocent of all that is being accused of me ..why do i pay 15 to 20 million dollars to a family and the child who is saying what he deems to be true.ohh but also the same child just happens to know that MJ has certain marks on his lower region.

Strange really, maybe MJ used to take the said child to the toilet ,or to the shower.or bath. maybe even bed!

of course he was talented.such a pity books and videos and watever else wernt enough and he possibly had to cross the line! from fantasy to reality!

MJ was a hero to many and I for one enjoyed his music..esp his Earthsong, it reduced me to tears..leave him alone, he was indeed a troubled soul and his father should have been arrested for child abuse..what a nasty little man he is, he should have been locked up!

RIP Michael..

For all the (repeated, unproven) accusations and insinuations on this forum - it's good that there are countries with independent judges and no juries. God, Allah, Buddha etc help you when you - guilty or innocent - are judged in this world by the likes of Nigel.

Dear Nigel. I don't talk about or judge his music - I'm from a different generation than most of his fans. For me the choices were Elvis Presley or Cliff Richard and The Rolling Stones or The Beatles.

It is worrying for your state of mind when you say that I "look the other way". I don't. I believe in justice according to the law - and I think people who join the awful chorus of a lynch mob are potentially dangerous. The late Mr. Jackson was not convicted, so he was and is innocent. Like or dislike him as an artist; that's what this great entertainer deserves after his death. Spitting at him in his private life in the past has nothing to do with it.

We will never know if the allegations were true or if they were made up by the boys and their families in order to get money out of Michael, but can you anwer this honestly....

Would any money in the world stop you from throwing your sons abuser into jail and showing him for what he really is to the world?

I would go through hell and back to punish and expose such a guy...Even if it meant ruining my own life in the process...

Anyone in the public domain has to be and have been squeaky clean their whole life, otherwise they will inevitably be the but of sick jokes etc.

Michael Jackson whether innocent or guilty only has himself to blame for this because of his inappropriate behavior. it is not acceptable to blame his upbringing, we are talking about an adult here who knows the difference between right and wrong and even if he didn't probably employed a PR team and had friends who he chose to ignore.

Having said this I am sure he will be remembered more for his music when the jokes have all been worn out.

Pixie,

I agree with you. Why would you settle for any sum out of court, you would want justice done for your child and for the abuser to go to jail. So what does that say about them!

Leave the man alone. I cannot believe people can find humour in a premature mans death, who brought a great deal of happiness to many many people with his talent. RIP

just because someone is entertaining or you like the music they produce does not get away from the fact there is no smoke without fire.

i bet many of you rocked away in the 80s to glam rock ie certain mr glitter and we all know where that went.!!

Big Entertainers seem to have to live on a different planet where because of fame and fortune seem to be able to do what they like.

pedos should have no rights and should not be breathing so chalk another one up

Some fine examples of the morals of some board members: "Forget Rule 1 (Innocent until proven guilty)". The late Mr. Jackson was "a child abuser" and "quilty beyond any doubt" - because some board members say so. Brrr...

I can understand what your saying about MJ and all the accusations... but if i had a child being abussed then i would not settle for money and for him to be set free to do it again to another child.

I would want him sent down out of other childrens way. Alot of people are just after the money and you can see that surely if the parents though there kid was being abussed no amount of money could change that but in there eyes it did and just shows whaqt they were after in the first place.

They made it public with these accusations but soon stopped when they had the cash.

He was never found guilty.. and everyone is entiled to there opinion but cant you just let the man rest in peace and his family to come to terms with there loss. At the end of the day he changed the world of music and was an amazing entertainer. I will be remembering him for that not all the negative which was never even proved.

Can't agree BigMark.

Otherwise I can't mention the EC, UK, USA and the rest of the world.

Why do you not want us mention, UK MP's expenses, Corruption, Greek Cyprus or whatever we want.

Why do you want to limit discussion only to that which you prefer ? If you don't like the topic, don't access it !

Your contribution is off topic.

>>>> "Forget Rule 1 (Innocent until proven guilty)". <<<

the one common trait of many child abuse victims is I was told NO ONE WOULD BELIEVE ME, the abuser was a friend I trusted him/ her and did not want to get into trouble I would say would say work with victis of chid abuse listen with an open mind watch how they are so so scared to admit they have been abused listen to how they have self harmed because they thought it was their fault !!

Just because mr jackson was found no guilty does not mean he did not do it , it means for whatever reason the prosecution with their limeted funds were not able to prove he DID DO IT.

I have seen the effects of child abuse on the victims first hand and no child would go through what some of mr . jacksons victims have endured if they had not been abused.

I agree with Nige, It is very difficult to prove cases of molestation even among ordinary people which is why only a small number ever make it to court. So much more difficult when someone is waving around huge sums wanting to settle out of court.

The fact that these sort of allegations have been made twice speaks volumes

and shows the arrogance of MJ in thinking that he was above the law with all his money and fame and did not show any concern for how things would appear TWICE.

I too have experience with a victim of child abuse and admire anyone who faces up to the difficulty involved in coming forward.

The last paragraph of Nige's post rings particularly true in my experience.

Unfortunately discussing child abuse on this board does not solve any of the associated problems. Now if you would like to discuss what you are doing about child abuse from a personal perspective then I am sure some of us would be a little bit more interested.
