| Ladyinwaiting If you are looking for the rate to pay your KDV then the tax office takes the average rate for the whole of the year in question and not the actual rate on the day of signing your contract. If you call into the tax office in Girne they will tell you the rate that they will apply Vince |

| Thanks for all you replies, most helpful. Yes Vince it is for our KDV, we have paid it to the solicitors but wanted to know how they arrived at that figure, we were told that it was levied at the rate of exchange on the day we signed the contracts, we weren't told it was the average for the year, which makes more sense. We will call into the tax office when we are over next month. Thanks for the info. LIW |
