Does anybody know where I can find somebody to have a look at a friends fridge / freezer? The freezer doesn't appear to be working at all and the fridge not as cold as it should be. Thanks

Try Bosch in Girne, opposite Mr Pound: they do repairs.

Hi there,

That is exactly what is wrong with my Bosch Fridge/Freezer but I'm having trouble getting Bosch to repair it.

The girl in the office doesn't speak English very well.

Let me know if you have any success.

had a Bosch myself that developed problems ,cost an arm an a legto repair it Twice.I eventually got rid of it and bought a Beeko for half the price and it has been as good as gold. If it goes belly up on me I can buy a new one for the cost of the repairs to the Bosch.I used to think Bosch were the best but not any more..

sounds like you have a single compressor fridge freezer, it will be short of refrigerant, look on the inside of the door in chiller, there should be a refrigerant type, write this down and ring up an engineer, tell them its short of gas, quote the type of refrigerant stamped on the door, hopefully they will have the correct type but dont hold your breath, its cheaper nowadays to get a new one than have it repaired!!!, it will save you a service call only to find out they cant get hold of refrigerant.

it may be a propane refrigerant is r290, r600, if so i doubt anyone will have this type of gas it may be r134a, 404a which is more common!!

usually on a single compressor system, you notice the freezer more as the food goes soft, in a fridge a little later...

let me know how you get on.
