Sky plus recording Central ITV???

Hi,

Does anyone please know what number ITV Central is on SKY? The reason I ask is because we have a 4.2 dish and have sky, if we want ITV we go to "other channells" which allows me to watch it? Now, I have just bought a skyplus box and cannot record ITV from the TV Guide, hense why I need the ITV Cental number to program it in, if that makes sense?

if the box is registered in UK midlands then 103 is prog number [ mine is).

you cannot record ITV Central from the "other channels" menu....



A way round it would be to change your address with Sky to a region where you can access ITV from the normal menu - i changed mine to an ITV Wales address and all AOK.....

Sorry,

Meant to expand, a freind of ours wants to watch BBC 1, he simply puts 974 into the recorder and it works??

Hi Guys



the Q's have largely been covered ( thanks to those who got here before me !) but here goes..



The ITV and BBCs ( 1/2) one gets on your SKY box is post code dependent.. So.. as NN says you need a card reg'd at an address where 103 will work in Cyprus



ITV Wales, West, are good "strong" ITVs.. ITV London, Granada and Central W are BAD.. no signal rec'd in Cyprus..



IF 103 doesn't work.. you CANNOT record any ITV1 via other channels



Chnl 974 is BBC London and is a "strong" BBC1 as are BBC N.I, Wales and Scotland 971-4



BBC2 (102) is also dependent on your postcode and there are only England, Wales, Scotland and N.Ireland available.



SO, example:



You have an West country post code



in Cyprus you get 101 BBC West ( no signal) so you must use 971-4.. BBC2 will be England and you should get HTW West / Westcountry and the record will work



This assumes you have a correctly installed 4.2m
