I see in todays Cyprus Today front page that Jackie and George have once again rescued a dog that has been badly mistreated so much so I was nearly in tears when I read about the condition they found that poor dog in. What kind of sub humans treat animals like this ????

Without people like Jackie and George and many other ex-pats I hate to think what would happen to most of the dogs on this island!!

Not seen cy today yet Apparently the wire tethering the dog had cut deep into its neck and the poor dog was being eaten alive by maggots and ticks !!

That is just dreadful. Hope the evil people who did that get some of that pain back that they have given that poor dog.

I think the picture of the injury shows a cruel and evil mind. The person responsible ought to get the same treatment. Sorry if that's not liberal enough for some people and I admit that I am ashamed of my thoughts, but I am just horrified.

Met Jackie yesterday when I was out shopping. Puppy much better Jackie said it was not a rope that was round the dogs neck but a wire! And also the abscess the poor beast had on its backside, Jackie say the only way to describe it is (and this is Jackies words not mine) "If you can imagine a babboons arse thats what it looked like".

The good news is Lucky doing really well and hopefully his visit to the vet on Monday will be the last and he will be given a clean bill of health.

Well Done Jackie, this is really, really sad. Poor dog but at least it has been rescued and will be feeling much better and loved now. The people who abandoned this dog in such a state should be given the same treatment. Luckily there are some good and kind hearted people around.
