Sarah,

What is the name of the Solicitor, I might know it from the name rather than the address.

Hi

Bogaz to Girne is about 1 hour and 15-20 minutes drive. Once you reach Girne I beileve this adress is one of the main roads so it should not be difficult to find.

There are some maps of towns on some of the estate agents web sites like Donaghy and Beyler. It should be easy to find the address if you look at these town maps.

Most of the solicitors in Girne are opposite the Law Courts. If you park in the main car park then it should be really easy to find as the car park is behind the Law Courts/Post office/Land Registry office.

Cenk Boyalar's office is opposite the Girne Bellediye. On the opposit side of the road from the Shiraz Cafe. He has a plaque on the wall. Hope this helps.

I cheched the maps and the street you want is the road which is the left turning at the roundabout coming from Lefkosa. Should be very easy to find.

Cenks office is at the top of the main high street through Girne town centre. It is opposite the white Belediye building next to a photogtaphy shop. no 97 Ziya Rizki Caddesi.

Hi everyone, I've just had an email from my solicitor which was so unprofessional it's unreal. If it was a lawyer in the uk I would have sacked him and gone elswhere. However, this guy is my power of attorney in trnc and I'll have to bite my lip until my sale has gone through. The guy basicly told me to stop pestering him on the matter of registering contracts and stamp duty even though I'm paying him for the service. I understand things must be tense for lawyers over there with the dead line coming up but there was no need for his comments. When my sale goes through and everything is sweet I'll post the guys name and address, also a copy of his message. Meanwhile if I notice any of you using him I'll e-mail you offline.

John.

Hi John

Sorry to hear that. Its bad enough buying in one Country and living in another without the stress of unhelpful professional people who are being paid to help you.

How is the house coming along?

Hi Simma

Am wondering if you have the same lawyer as we do. We just don't seem to get replies to mails we send or telephone messages left. Like you, ours is our POA and recently as requested we have transferred cash required for registration and stamp duty. In turn we asked for acknowledgement on receipt of funds that was two weeks ago now. Not a word. I appreciate how busy they are wih new law and implications, but cannot understand why there isn't a bog standard email that can be sent at the hit of a key, by a secretary or clerk in the office confirming money has arrived (or not). I would be sacked in a very short space of time if I ignored my clients in this way.

Hi Bowman

Is it really a hijacked thread? The heading of the thread is Solicitors in Girne and that's what the discussion has been about. I know it started off with SJW 1979 asking the way but we haven't really deviated from the original thread title.

jfoggy,

It appears we are in the same situation as you ?

Costs nothing for a few good manners to send a quick email to confirm, the excuse of being very busy is total tosh.
