On Tuesday night my wife and I had been working trying to sort our bungalow before our visitors arrived from the UK. Being between moving in and leaving our rented flat we have been rather busy and at 2140 hrs on Tue we decided we needed to be fed, on the off chance we called into the Hillside and were welcomed with open arms. We had steak pie, which was absolutely delicious and nothing was too much bother. Our compliments and thanks to Katrina and the boys. Would recommend a visit to anyone.

Went there in May and ordered pie and chips, and got pie, chips and GRAVY. Gravy was so much of it that we didnt know where to start!! Feller that served it never asked if we wanted gravy or if we had enjoyed meal, scruffy dog hanging about our feet, loud orrible singing coming fro the kitchen, Frank Sinatra songs, (yuk)shant be going again, so now had me moan. ---- Well just might try it again as might have been a bad day for us and them lol

But wont ask for pie and chips!!!

On the Lapta road opposite the monstrosity with the big holes in it!! If Mrs monger likes gravy its the place to take her!!!

No seriously, we used to go there a lot before it was taken over as we liked the Turkish food that they would make for you if you asked. Just dont like gravy and chips. lol
