A little bird (Lawyers secretary) has just informed me that stamp duty deadline has been put back to the 30th april, can anyone confine this rumour.

I thought that was for registering contracts - end of April. That's good for others if that goes for stamp duty too.

If someone paid 1.5% stamp duty in Feb 08 (Before gov decided to peg it back to 0.5% by end of Mar 08) would they get 1% back from goverment ?

Somehow I do not think so.
