Great match and very close thing. Roddick did give Federer a run for his money and it was wonderful to watch. Good to see Federer get the grand slam though!

I'm sure phylray meant that Federer has won more grand slams than anyone else.

Roddick had some chances to win, which he failed to convert, Federer took his, especially the second set, hopefully when Roddick gets over the disapointment he will be able to be proud of the performances he produced

Whilst I wqs going for Federer I felt sorry for Roddick who played so well in losing. He probably should have won given the chances he had in the second set tiebreaker and later, whilst Federer really struggled to break his serve and didn't look likely to do so until the final game. Aussie

Yes, I felt sorry for Roddick too - such a powerful serve. Think Andy did well to last as long with him (and he's only 22) Bad luck mikelapta - that's TRNC! Federer was interviewed on Radio 4 this am and such a gentleman Rare in sports heroes. Well, why are they saying he's the "best of all time"?
