Hye can anyone give me some info on where the nearest Post Office is from Metehan crossing. I have been told that it will be much quicker to post a small parcel (and other post) from the South as it only takes 3 days to arrive at UK addrress. Opening times would be useful also if anyone knows ? Thanks

Hi I have posted a couiple of parcels from south side but cant explain to you how to get there.I know we turned left after the crossing then into one of the streets on the right. Just ask someone and they will tell you. The UK parcel took 3 days whilst the one to Thialand about a week. It was peace of mind though that they would arrive at thier destination. I think they are normal working hours but now its summer working they may shut for lunchb til 3pm. Sorry cant be any more help but they do have a few like sub post offices as well as main post officesx

Hi Lilli took some parcels for me to post in the south going to Thailand and it was wonderful knowing that they would arrive and in such a short time around 5/6 days I need to get another parcel together to send, so if you have any luck with the address please pass it on.

Thanks Lilli and Smithy

I will go on a recky !!!!! I shall wear a label around my neck (like Paddington) in the event i get lost ha ha. Will let you know where it is (if i find it !!!!!). Its nice to know that post can get back to UK quite quickly/easily if needs be. Never had a problem with post arriving in UK from here its just the timescale that cannot be relied on.

May even find out if any chance of getting a PO box down there - you never know i might get some mail this year ha ha .

The region south of the crossing point you refer to is called Ayios Dometios

If you can turn left - after you pass through all the RoC checks you will be heading into Nicosia

The Post Office's have Bright yellow signs above their frontages

this link gives you a list of post office branches - but only tel numbers

this one tells you about EMS - like Data post

You can also send stuff via fedex, UPS, DHL , etc,
