Hi all,

Can anyone reccomend a lanscaping contractor?. I would like to keep the garden as low maintenance as possible I expect the best way will be to use the grey stone /chippings that seem commonly used the plot is 1000 m2 the house, patios and pool need to be taken out of this measurment.

Can anyone advise what would be a reasonable price to have this done the pool is 10 x 5 by the way.

BYE FOR NOW

Hello Ive

I can recommend Tolga at Tolga's Garden Centre on the main road in Karsiyaka just before the olive oil factory road. He has landscaped our garden, put in a stone path, lots of iron work, 2 vine pergolas, gravelled the drive, etc and we are very pleased. It is difficult to give a price because we have had different things done at different times. He did totally gravel a garden for a friend of ours who hasn't moved into their house yet and he uses very good quality membrane and gravel (not the dark builders gravel you often see) and consequently very few weeds have appeared. He also has a great range of plants and trees.

You would be more than welcome to come and see our garden whenever you like.

Hi there,

We are in the process of having our garden done by the 'Meditteranean Gardener'. We are going out in April so we look forward to seeing his work.

He's a friendly chap and very enthusiastic about his work. Cost around £3000

but included planning, drawing and all plants, trees, irrigation etc.

Also, supplying and fitting large metal shed at £550 inc base.

Has promised to send over photo's of the finished work before we go out.

He does need a deposit of about 50% paid into a UK bank so no bank charges incurred. (also doing same with one of our neighbours gardens)

If you speak to him he will show you typical garden. Based on coast road near Lapta.

Regards

List of landscape gardeners.

Most people I know use Bravestone for low maintenance.

we had Serder build our garden this is his e mail serdar@medgardener.com he is located your end of the Island. I can show you pictures of what he did for us if you would like me to you e mail you them.

As you can see though from the replies to your question seem's plenty of companies to choose from so good luck.

Yes you can buy Jacaranda. We had one when we had our garden done by Tolga in Karsiyaka. Don't know how much it was but I can ask him for you.

Jacaranda's, what a good idea.

I first saw how beatutiful these trees were in Pretoria, South Africa.

Whole roads lined with them, wonderful. Turned an otherwise dull city into a see of colour.

Just looked up Jacaranda trees on the net (BBC website) and apparently the South African government is tightening up control of these trees because they use a lot of water - you might want to consider this before planting.

Our Jacaranda gets watered the same amount as everything else in the garden and is doing fine. It hasn't flowered yet (lack of water perhaps?) but it is still very young.
