When doing a recent small transfer form this bank which usually charges 15 Euro a further 45 Euro was deducted from the funds when they arrived. This hadn't happened in 8 previous transfers so after querying it with the Bank the manager explained that bit was due to the computer that does automatic transfers choosing a different Correspondent Bank Standard Chartered which deducted the 45 Euro and didn't do the transfer for 10 day compared to the usual 2-3 days maximum for funds to show up. Their system has a large list of Correspondent Banks and they are free to charge what they like (previously at least 3 others didn't charge any extra).

To make it worse the staff can't override the automatic choice of Correspondent Bank so you can never know whether you will be slugged an extra 45 Euro or worse and the Bank refused to fix it.

If possible avoid using this bank for money transfers or at all as their response to this in my view as an ex Banker is completely unacceptable.
