Doe's anyone know of a reliable babysitter they can reccomend. I live in the Lapta area (up the mountain side opposite JK's bar) I have two kids 5 and 7 who are always in bed when i go out, but i need someone who can babysit for them. I have internet access and full Uk sky package, so they will not be bored!!!! Prefably would like someone who can stay over as I am usually out late so would rather take them home next morning (if they don't have their own car) Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks

I am used to 5 and 7 year olds as I was a First School Teacher until very recently. I live in Lapta and would be able to babysit for you. Please contact me on this e-mail address: sheilabrunsdon@hotmail.com Thank you.

hi I live just up the road from you near hos bes supermarket. I am 20 years old and very experienced in looking after children. I helped to run a brownie Pack for 3 years; caring for children between the ages of 6 and 12. I have also cared for my nephew since he was a baby (he is now 8 years old!) this also involved caring for him through the night. I also did Child development at GCSE and acheived a grade A. I have my own transport so late night wouldn't be a problem. Please call me on 05338758849 and ask for Jade if I can be of any help. My email is jen2jade@aol.com. Thanks

One would think you would establish a connection between your children and the sitter, by getting them to meet in front of you for a short while, to see how they get on. Obviously you would want references of past children that have been cared for, plus a character reference (a number that you can ring and speak with someone who knows the potential sitter as a person). You would want their attitude on corporal punishment - how do they deal with recalcitrant children - divert their attention? slap? naughty corner for 5 minutes followed by an acknowledgement of what they did wrong and an apology (steps taken of course, depend on child/rens age) The sitter's attitude needs to be in line with yours. Will they give the child attention or put it in front of the box and leave them to it. One would think it is common sense in what you would want in a sitter looking after your most valuable, irreplaceable little person.
