Only 50 miles.

A very simple and achievable Engineering Solution.

The plans etc were being drawn up and awaiting approval.

Just wondered if any progress had been made ?

Lots of people talk on such matters and this can create hurdles upon hurdles.

If you would like Engineers to assist at design conception, material specification, build and commission; then please ask.

A progression to the islands horticulture at least would and should prevail.

Having been involved in new territory pipeline schemes as a preliminary to middle east status areas and profitability progression of main user states, the links and information for the liquid gold pipeline look very promising.

Identified as ' Cyprus Peace Water Project ' and why not.

The 350 million dollar scheme has two interested companies. I thought perhaps one or two more, but the the sideline contractual shares will filter far and wide.

.. Turkish Company - Alarko Holding, who would like commencement of the project on the 20th July 2009. To coincide with the annivesary of Turkeys Cyprus Peace Operation.

.. Italian Company - ENi S.p.A, who have experience of Russian Gas and Pipeline to Turkey.

Sea depth encounter of 1400 mtr also being considered with suspended 250 mtr pipeline consideration.

I'll expect this pipeline to be in place at the same time the Girne bypass is finished, the marina in Karsiyaka is built, and the TCs and GCs are having group hugs once a day ;)

Re: MarkVPiazza Msg 14. I was thinking the same thing myself. However, they'll not make money from the bypass unless they stick speed cameras on it. Maybe the driver for the water pipeline is that they can sell it to TCs/GCs?

Drinking water for North Cyprus and horticulture.

The Tankers from Greece may have to run a little longer by the non-enthused.

Very small minded.

Shame.
