Does anybody know approximately, what it would cost to hire a man with a largish van, to drive through Turkey into Bulgaria....or if anyone would actually do it...?

I'm tempted, but an automatic left hooker van for hire would be hard to find. Have you researched shipping lines from Famagusta to Istanbul. They drive like nutters on the mainland! Would do it for expenses only.

Richard why not hire the van from Turkey drive it to TRNC do the trip and then back to the hire point?

NN....i've been here almost 6 years now, and i am so over it.....i feel the island is quite toxic and it simply doesn't suit me...i miss forests and autumns....i'm tired of 2 seasons, hot and cold...i want 4 now! Maybe thats greedy, but thats how it is for me now....

I have done quite a lot of research, and i would like to move to Veliko Tarnovo...i've been wanting to make the move for over a year now....i'm just trying to figure out the easiest way to get there!

DD - Wish you all the very best, we too have been researching BG for about a year, need to sell here first lol! Several areas hold our interest at the moment so going to rent whilst we make a final decision. Still looking at driving across ourselves with furniture. Looked here and in South at buying LH drive (second hand)van to no avail. Looking forward to the new adventure though ;)

Blimey, i can see it now....a mad exodus with folk leaving here in VW bus's with flowers and peace signs daubed all over them....hehe...something i would love to do!! I also need to sell my house first, otherwise i'd have gone a loooooooong time ago!!
