Car hire at Larnaca Airport

Have just been informed today, that car hire companies at Laranca Airport are no longer allowing you to drive them through to the North.

Is this the Greeks adding more pressure, I thought they wanted a settlement ?

These have always allowed it. It is in there wording that they allow then to go through to north.

Just booked this morning with Economy Rentals online and their site says they have no problems with you taking the car to "the turkish area" but you must buy insurance and also you are responsible for getting back to their side if it goes wrong. First time I have done it this way but couldn't get a flight to Ercan early August.

Other alternative Cammy is to book with aone

They will pick up from Larnaca for £25 each way. No hassle sorting paperwork at border and cheap renting as well.

breezyboy we have used Economy rentals in the past, we found them reliable, even when we turned up 3 hours late at 4 O clock in the morning. And when we told them we were going to Alsancak they hoped we would have a great holiday. It's just a boring drive that's the only thing.

I would definately recommend a one car rentals we have just come back from North Cyprus we too had to land in Larnaca because we were late booking, they picked us up from Larnaca on time exactly and then dropped us of as well we hired a peogeot 206 for two weeks £264 including both transfers
