Hi Misan and welcome.
There are many doctors available and you don't need to register with any particular one. There is no NHS in NC but free emergency treatment is available at A&E departments.
You will need to apply for residency when you arrive if you plan to stay for longer than 3 months. To find out the latest procedure its best to go to your nearest police station and ask as the procedure appears to change from week to week .
The BRS run a private Healthcare scheme which, depending on your age, could be useful to have.

Hello Karen,
we are moving out later in the year with my inlaws. My mother in law suffers from angina (not chronic) and is worried about how to get her medication and the costs.
I've suggested that she asks for 6 months supply to allow for change over period. Can anyone recommend a doctor for heart problems and give her any indication of medication costs?
How do I contact BRS re healthcare?
Thanks

All chemists carry the usual angina medication (carvedilol, propranolol, atenolol). Prices are set at a central system but stocks of specific drugs can run dry and a substitute needs to be used. The price too changes dependant on if it's from Turkey, the UK or 3 country.
Eg. Atenolol is 20YTL from Turkey. 60YTL from UK.
As for a doctor; whoever's your closest. I've not met a doctor yet that doesn't speak English to high degree.

My hubbie takes Atenolol 50mg tabs for high blood pressure, a 28 tab pack costs just 2YTL!
Much better than UK prescription prices!

hi misan
you dont have to have to really register with a doctor, for most symptoms like tim said you just pop down to your local chemist (eczane) and most of all presciptions are much cheaper than the u.k
you can use the state hospitals for much bigger problems and they are quite good and cheap but if you prefer private hospitals there are loads you can choose from
for peace of mind you can always take out private medical care insurance
hope this helps
