Yes it is a good article by Amy Watkins. She doesn't dwell on the history of Cyprus apart from mentioning the Turkish occupation.

Her final paragraph refers to "decades of political limbo have left NorthCyprus largely ignored by the rest of the world, so it hasn't fallen victim to the rampant over-development that blights the South"

Just read the article I can't find and on-line version though very good

The choice between the world high street and the one in Lefkosa I know which I'll choose every time .McD or Mezze Bar Mezze bar every time

Something good gets in the news then we have the Auctions like today..Whenever will it sort itself out...and with new people in power,,changes take time i know,but banks want money back on all loans on property..about time things changed,its been a long time since the Brits and other started to buy here...about time the world noticed the TRNC...most do and for what.....is not good,!!

Great to read some positive news stories. This and also the article in The Observer a couple of weeks back. Good publicity for a very beautiful Island (well the Northern part of it anyways!!).
