Well? Apart from clogging up my road with parked cars (joke) was it worth it? I had to go out this morning and missed it even though I only live 300 mtrs away - curses. What was it like and what was for sale there please, may be able to take a walk down there next week if it is on again.

Wow. Looks like this was a resounding success by the amount of replies this thread has received. I know that somebody went there, the traffic proved it, so what happened?

Unfortunately it was very small which is a shame because the owners had so much advertising, it does have the possibilities to be a good market, like the Chateau Lamboussa but for this side of Girne. I believe that the owners should possibly have waited until sept before starting this as it was like being in a hot house as the walls are all concrete around it and there is very little shade. Having said all that, I will go back and support it.

Very very good, thanks to all who supported the market, vendors and shoppers and of course Star Bowling. It will grow and be even better by the week - thanks again all.

Tinker: "waddo .. Is that a cardboard cut out at Chateau Lambousa .. LOL" Sorry, do not understand the question and as have never been to Chateau Lambousa, that is probably the reason. Help! Still waiting to find out what was actually there at this market, in particular what vendors. Don't want to waste the 300mtr walk next Sunday just to find out all that was for sale were old books and broken pottery! Can anyone tell me what was there please?

My wife and I called in and as has been said it was very small. On sale were the usual things books, nic nacs, plants also some locals baking bread whilst you waited. There was a stall which had house alarms. I think that like all these markets they start of slow but build up over the weeks. The Lambousa was like that and as more stalls go up so will the number of customers. Good luck to them.

I went & yes it was small but if we all give it a bit of support it will get bigger I hope so we really need it this side. Had books, roof tiles painted, clothes, great photo's, shoes ect. could be great more so in the cooler months I think but good all the same. wish it all the best hope to get a stall going myself at some point not sure when at the moment. mary
