Can someone give me the best way to Guzzleguts from Esentepe. I normally head through Girne and straight on through "our son jack" and out that way. Is it any quicker to go via Lefkosa and turn at the big roundabout with the statues on?

Thanks

Karen

Come on Pat, you know Karen meant Guzelyurt!!!. From Girne drive past Karaogogogoglu, then pass "our son jack", then at Camlibel junction turn right, pass through the tunnel of trees and head straight for "guzzleguts". At the round about drive straight and it will take you to the centre of the town. Don't ask me where to park your car, if I ever knew I would drive that way myself

I don't know if it is any quicker but it is a straight road there and will bring you to the round about with the big orange in it's middle near Le Mars and turn off to Boscanti crossing.

Ok thank you to both of you. Apparently there is a very good garden centre there. Thought I'd take a trip out to see if I can find it. Its just that from Esentepe its a bit of a long haul. Just wondered if there were any quicker routes.

Cheers

if you do decide to go to guzelyurt could you pop in to the aphrodite beachfront site and have a look around and tell us what you think,it might make a nice day out .there are supposed to be some nice little bays in this area with good bars and resturants. we are over in june to look for ourselves, are completion date should be august 2008.

Hi Karen,

Do you mean the council run garden centre? Went there last year, it is not in Guzelyut but out through the other side of the town. There is a garage on the right hand side of the road and you turn left opposite this. It is up a track and has lots of shrubs, roses, oleanders etc. I didn't think the trip out there was worth it. As the garden centre in Esentepe is just as cheap and he has more variety.

Hi Avril

Thanks, yes that's the one. We are after some fruit trees. I know the guy at the Green Island Garden Centre is really helpful, just thought I'd go to see what this other place is like but if its not worth the trip I won't bother.

Cheers

Hi Karen,

We went to the garden centre in Lefke when we were over in February, the prices really were a lot cheaper than anywhere local. We paid 12ytl each for palm trees, we had been quoted 35ytl each in Lapta, probably not worth the trip just for an odd item but if you are buying a few things you can make a good saving.
