During the past few years when we have been fund-raising for the children under the SOS banner, we have become aware that there are other children and families in the community whom we were unable to help due to our commitment to the one particular charity. In order to assist a greater number of needy families we have reluctantly decided to disband the SOS Fund-raising committee and to re-establish ourselves with a different identity.

We aim to continue to strive to help those unable to improve their own lives by continued effort and support from the public and businesses who have supported us so well in the past. We would like to thank each and every person who has contributed in any way at all and fervently hope that this support and encouragement will continue in our new ventures so we are able to increase the amount of assistance we can give to those who truly need it.

Thankyou all.

Could you find a home for a Playstation 1 with games? Or even auction it? My son has no longer uses it and it's sitting in a wardrobe in our villa? We are out next week - is there a collection point out Esentepe direction?

Joan, I hope it is not due to the "do gooder" flack that was on C44 in the recent past.

1] Will you still support SOS but concentrate more effort on other causes?

2] What is the new identity?

3] Who is involved is it still going to be largely expat's or will there be Turkish Cypriots being more involved as well?

4] What is happening or planned?

5] As usual with the little time we have on infrequent visits can we assist?
