Getting son back to Larnaca Airport

My son has decided to join us for part of a holiday. He'll be on same flight out but going home earlier. We've hired a car in North, with transfers from airport to villa. Any suggestions on best way to get him back?



We can obviously drive him to border, but not sure how to get him from there to Larnaca Airport. His flight is at an unearthly hour - 1am. Or would it be easier/as cheap to get car hire co to take him?

going rate by taxi is £50 but the man in the hut who gives change opposite capitano is £45 dont get illegal people off board

We will book taxi if thats best option. Just seems daft not to use hire car as far as possible. But if thats just as expensive, then taxi all the way is easier.



Sorry never been to North, so don't know what you're refering to with 'capitano'

Hi..try Pacific car rentals..they charged me £30 to take me to Larnaca from Kyrenia a few weeks back.

try 0533 8326446 ,Mehmet.Based in kyrenia they are.Pretty good rates as well,at least I think they are.Cant remember the name of co though.They can also give receipts if you'd like

Thanks for replies - I guess, as no-one has given any info re transport from border, that getting him as far as border in our hire car, isn't a great option.

some hire car companys do allow you to take their car to the south,you need their consent thats all.As far as south is concerned,they dont have problem about hired cars from north crossing over.A friend of mine is a custom officer and I brought this subject up to him.So,if you get a permit (dont know whats involved)from your car hire firm,you shouldnt have a problem to go and pick/drop your son yourself

Hi, we're going to Larnaca late on 23rd (think flights about 11.15pm) - would this be any good for you? We've already got taxi transfer booked so dont suppose another body would make any difference - if you want me to ask taxi co. if there's enough room in the mini bus let me know..... Jac x

If you can fit him in to taxi, it would be brill - assuming both your flight times are somewhere handy. His flight is Fri 24th, but at 1:15, so 23rd as near as damn it. What time is your taxi?
