Yes, an estimate of how much this guy will charge per metre to deepen a well would be useful.

Please advise if his prices include disposal of waste. If his prices are keen I'm sure he could do

well (no pun intended).

RE MSG8

professoregit

the price for deepening of a well would depend on how deep the well itself is.Because,at certain levels of well the soil would be softer(making the digging easyer).Basicaly, the landscape is what everything depends on.

The waste would be removed, providing it is included in price

Hope the info helps

It would be better for your friend to offer free on site quotes depending on the individual circumstances because, as you indicated, there are no standard charges.

Brinsley:

Thats what he is doing.Just took him up to someone in lapta and after he went down the well, assest it ,gave him a price and got the job.

Thanks for the advice, and yes you are correct

The only task he has now is to make me proud of him,and I shall carry on helping him to find work, and also for the ones in need of him to get what they need done without getting stung

Yorgozlu, the existing well is approximately 8-10 metres deep. Its does retain water and as such

the bottom is soft. I require a further 2 metres of depth. How much please.

professorgit;

Could I please bring him round to you .

I took him to another persons house to look at their well yesterday,he went down, assest it ,came up,explained what was wrong, gave him price, and starting to repair tomorrow.

So, please, allow me to bring him over.He can only quote on site,as every well is different.

Look forward to hear from you

Sahali, sorry a bit long in replying.Yes I enjoyed my first "shower" from my well. And first tank of water.

This morning the tank was empty.Have reactivated switch and water is flowing again. It's nearly noon, will check how long it flows.Perhaps tomorrow you can check switch settings for me.Yes I am delighted. Will be checking all day today, and try and solve any little problems.

But the digging deeper of the well, etc so pleased.

congratulations mike its always lovely to get your own water you obviosly have a catch tank on your system which is a very good idea so that your well can keep topping it up when needed but for the sake of other forum members how long is the well running before being exhausted of supply because its sounding very much like you filled a 2 ton tank {presumption only }and the pump then cut out usually because of a lack of water in the well hope its good news from you regards david

Count yourself lucky,my friends had 2 in their garden in karsiyaka ,no water in neither.Nobody knows %100 whats under the ground. This week channel drilled on one of them(side)They now at last have some water

ps.Mike's well was already there(dug by cowboy)it was a repair work

But thanks to cowboys,my friend gets work, even if its just repairs, and he doesnt put water in a well that he dug just to make it look as if their is water(like some do,beleive it or not I've seen one this week)It was hand dug but thats irrelevent.Cowboy is cowboy

Dont know much about this game, but learning by taking him to pottencial customers

My well is not a Rolls Royce,a very good repair job.Getting a constant flow from my tank.It tops up my pool,

and waters the veg and flowers.I have a 20ton tank which is automatically filled. When it gets a little cooler

will put a drip feed system in,ready for next season.

Considering the problems with Lapta water,I am pleased with Yorozlu and his mates.

Hi YORGOZLU, I have a place in OZANKOY and due out in April. It was suggested that I would have to clean the build up of silt in the well this year. Would your friend do this ? If so I will contact you on my arrival.

Hi Mr MAC;

Yes,they do cleaning, which is why he has asked me to bring this up to top as he also thinks that because of the amount of rain we have had this year quite few would be having same problems this year.

However,do please contact for no obligasion quote.

Hi yorgozlu, do you know if you have to have a licence for a well, and how far away from any neighbours well do you need to be. Also do you need to empty the well regularly to keep the source flowing....

Hi dizzicows;yes you do need to have a licence to have a well in your garden or anywhere else for that matter, however,I can tell you that from what I had seen last year,I'd say out of every 10 there is at least half do it witout.

But,before all that, why dont you have it looked at to see if it is possible to find water where you are.Do bear in mind that it CANNOT be guaranteed to find it.One just would know after so many years of doing where the underground streams run and at what direction.

Feel free to have it looked at with no obligation.

Hi again, hubby can water divine, we do have water in a couple of places but do not want to upset neighbours if there has to be a distance between wells.

In GB we have 5 bore holes for all the stock and hubby does this for other farms as well, so not to worried about that aspect, it is just the rules of NC not to sure of....

Hi again, yes there is a certain distance between wells.Your best option in order to find out exact distance would be to visit your local KAYMAKAMLIK.

If around kyrenia,it is 2/300 meters from local courts/land office on the left.Do please insist on seeing it on paper as 2 people might give you different answers.
