Car tax renewal 31st July

Can anyone guide me, my car tax runs out on 31st July, when can I renew it & can someone talk me through what I need to do to renew it. Got the exhaust emissions done today, that was easy, now the car tax......

Dawnie, There are supposed to be big reductions in car tax wef 1st Aug, in some cases up to 50 percent reduction on current rates. You Might be lucky!

I have just coughed out 1150 TL for my 22 year old Pajero! I asked at the Tax Office 'will I get the new discount if I wait till the 1st of August?' the answer, sadly was NO.

Thanks Tony, I am not expecting to get it cheaper, mores the pity but I do need to know what to do & where to go as only bought the car last October, so first time for renewal.

Last time mine ran out on the 31st.... was told had to wait until the 1st of the next month. Which obviously made me in theory drive with no valid road tax. Suggest if there is a long queue at the tax office try and ask at the counter (or ask in the queue).

U will need your mot certificate/log book and insurance.

From the old ezic , go to the water fountain roundabout and take a left past the fire station. Around 150yds on your right. Think opposite a pizza shop but maybe thats gone??
