I believe a new water slide park has opened west of Kyrenia. Has any body any news upon this. I cant imagine it is on the scale of those along the Algarve but any feedback upon the scale and entry fees would be appreciated.

This is probably the 3 water slides built at Simena Holiday hotel. I hear that it costs Tl 15.00 to use them.

Popeye,

Don't know if it is this one but there is a new water park to the east of Catalkoy , just to the side of the Grove Inn off the Girne road. It was formerly the Octupus water park but seemingly has been done up and will be opened very soon. There is a thread on here that gives more details.

Hope you had a good trip to PBV and are pleased with what you saw & heard.

Cheers,

Morty

Thanks for the information guys. It was the one at Karsiyaka that I believe I heard about whilst over in NC recently.

Morty - yes had a good trip and time at our apartment at PBV. I have to say that with 12 men working 12 hours a day including weekends, the place is really taking shape. Pity some of the other Developments do not show as much activity and urgency!. Even pleased with the Electricity bill considering the amount of use to which we put the air con . Met Bloggy and one or two others whilst we were there. When are you going over?

Popeye,

We are over on the 5th Aug for 2 weeks, as you can imagine we are all looking forward to it.

It's good to hear that PBV is moving forward.

Sorry I threw you off the scent of the water park in the west.

All the best,

Morty

The Aqua Park at Lapta has been spoken of very favourably, it is 20 tl for adults to enter and there are plenty of sunbeds/parasols and food to purchase at reasonable prices, don't know what the charge is for children, Simena on the other hand has 3 not so big slides and dares to call it a water park and charges 15 tl to use it. But they have another large pool which is free if you are buying a drink.
