Hi to all Lapta Residence,,I went to pay water bill today and ask why we have not had water for the last 6 days. I was told that the reservoir is dry and the new well is not finished , we might not have water for at least 3 weeks,so until then we have to get tankers at our own expense.

As I said before on this subject, we will still get charged for our non supplied 10 tons. It's a ******* joke! Today coming up past the Rose Gardens the local lady who lives across the road was merrily watering her plants and patio using a large bore hose. I shouted out the window at her and she gave me such a sweet smile! Don't say "it was probably well water" as it all comes from the same water table. It's this type of thing that pees me off with this place!

Couldn`t agree more, they send round flyers telling you you will be prosecuted if you get caught watering your cars or gardens, then they chuck water all over the roads in Lapta via a big tanker.

Not on here either on the sea side near Sempati Hotel.

Heres a thought how will the hotels operate with no water?

I was in Lapta Belediye yesterday and the man there said that there won't be any water in Lapta for the next month! He said that if you live too near the sea you won't get it, just as if you live high up the mountain you won't get it. If you live somewhere in the middle you may get some, it is something to do with water pressures...! He said this was because the reservoir is dry, and they don't have the right technology here. They are digging a new well which will take some time. Looks like its water tankers all round they eh!!

Christina,

Go down to the Sempati and ask them. We just spent a week there last week and we know that they have the same water problems as everyone else. I do know that they have at least two large underground tanks and also a well, but I don't think that was enough........and the hotel wasn't even full.

Another nail in the coffin for the tourist industry!!! Just when it looked as if it might be picking up.

How can anyone be so dumb (Namsoy and his crowd) as to knowingly sit back and watch the water in the wells disappear until it is completely gone and then oooops shall we look around and bore some more holes for other wells. Or possibly, has all this been done deliberately???? Well well well. Never mind they have enought to wash the roads frequently and hose down their vehicles (I`ve seen them)

when my friends in Karsiyaka didn't have water for a week, they went & complained & they brought a tanker & filled up the 2 ton tanks of all the people who were there permanantly. It was free of charge. Shouldn't we be doing the same?

Hi, You have to go to Lapta Belediye and put your name down on a list. Currently it is about a week waiting for them to deliver.
