Post for anyone coming over from the UK to purchase there for you to pick up here and reimburse. I did this for a member on this forum earlier this year and bought them four for £20 which they picked up and paid. No big deal, just ask. Good luck. Richard

If you Google for ink cartridges there are a lot of mail order firms which are dirt cheap. You need a credit card and maybe pay a little extra for registered post to be safe. Richard

There is a Cartridge World on the south side with different locations. Also heard a cheap ink cartridge shop near the old Palm Group office next to Donegal Developments. (up from Pia Bella Hotel).

RE msg 10, yorgozlu: (...) My brother does refilling in lefkosa,I also have same printer as yours and they are not refillable is what he told me last year (...) => Every cartridge can be refilled, but Epson cartridges must be prepared. Epson cartridges have a chip which will tell the printer that the cartridge is empty - even when you have refilled the cartridge completely. So you have to *kill* (reset) the chip in order to use the cartridge again. (1) Most cartridges can be refilled and reused 10-12 times. (2) Refilling cartridges yourself is easy and saves you lots of money. (3) I have a spare Epson Chip Resetter (5 Sterling) for sale if anyone is interested.

RE msg 18, Tenakoutou: (...) DC: What about if you fill the (Epson) cartridge BEFORE it's empty? (...) => Nice try! But the chip on the cartridge will remember the original ink level when you remove the cartridge from the printer! Kill (reset) the chip on the cartridge and your printer will be fooled...

| Buy an cartridge ink set from Wilkinsons in the UK - we got one with 3 bottles of ink and a syringe for about £6 or £7 . 1 bottle filled 3 HP cartridges Some cartridges have a device to stop you re-filling them, on HP you need to un-peel the 2D barcode from the side of the cartridge to get it to work again. | There are too many brands of printers & such a vast range of cartridges that one cannot honestly expect the shops in little old TRNC to stock them all. I always use Taunton-based http://www.ink2u.co.uk - they arrive in one week by post and give credit for returns of finished cartridges [in enclosed freepost plastic envelope that a tourist can take back to UK to post]. They also accept my TRNC addressed debit card on my UK account. |
