Goes to show what disinformation/misinformation is thread through the media. I read not so very long ago that the Dept. of Antiquities needed one million TL plus to sort out the night lights. Nothing works that quick here! I also hope they switch them off around 1am and not at 6 in the morning when they were last working! Just a waste of elex.

Can't quite remember but was it not used as a back drop for the film Cinderella or maybe another Hollywood, Disney Child's epic?

Perhaps they can start looking at solar energy to light up historical places.

They think that Walt Disney used St Hilarion as the castle for Sleeping Beauty - so glad the lights are back on - they look fantastic!

2.15am and the lights are still on! Must be catering for the drunks rolling out of the bars and 'night clubs'!

LondonCypriot,

Actually, they DO use solar energy to light them up - from dawn to sunset.

Unfortunately at night they have found that for some reason, they can't get the sun to do the job...

However, I'm sure that they're still working on it!

Keith.

p.s. That WAS a joke, believe it or not, you may not have thought that it was very funny, but it amused me

- as they say, "little things.........."

I woke up at 4am and the lights were still on. The system must be on phase 4 (?) even though, there must be a timer strong enough to deal with this current. Just seems such a waste. Electricians please respond!
