Has anyone used this system ? What are your comments ?Where in Nicosia does it drop off? how far to Ledra Palace crossing? do you have to book/pay before use thanks for any input

Cypriots love the airport bus services

THE LONG-HELD notion that Cypriots have an aversion to using buses is a fallacy, the two companies running airport shuttles to Larnaca airport from Nicosia and Limassol said yesterday, boasting that they carry 1,000 passengers a week between them.



Kapnos Airport Shuttles, which is commissioned by the government to conduct daily services between Nicosia and Larnaca Airport, has over the last year completed around 12,000 trips, transporting a total of approximately 60,000 passengers, it said.



EAL Tours, which operates a similar service between Limassol, and from last week to Paphos Airport, has during the same period carried roughly 66,000 passengers since the services began a year ago this week.

Haven't used this service yet, but this week we enquired about the airport shuttle service at the Tourist Information Office in Nicosia and they were very helpful. Gave us the timetable of the Kapnos Airport Shuttle service: http://www.kapnosairportshuttle.com .Buses run from Nicosia to Larnaca Airport every 2 hours, on the half hour 05:30, 07:30 etc through to 02:15 and from Larnaca to Nicosia 04:30, 06:30 etc to 01:15. Cost is 7 Euro each way. Drop off and pick up in Nicosia is at the International Conference Centre, Aglantzias just off the end of the A1 near the Cyprus Hilton Hotel, about 10 minute taxi ride from Ledra Palace crossing apparently.
