Watched a bit of the Golf today from Turnbury (spelling) in Ayrshire. Watched the deep rolling seas of the Atlantic, Ailsa Craig and the lighthouse. Oh if only Scotland had sun we would all live there. But would have to take back all the nice people I have met here or it would never be home again,,,, funny thing is that most of them are English!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OOps and Dutch, NZ's and lots of other nationalities.

Chris Hi

I agree but to get out of the heat for a week would be just great, then we could appreciate this place more, but at the moment I am just melting

See you Tuesday xx

All very well becoming nostalgic but there's heresy afoot in your homeland, the first Sunday ferry left for the Hebrides today and the 'god squad' not at all happy! Puritans, I thought they all left on the Mayflower!

Nursie;

Dutch and New Zealanders? I think not!

Now if you're talking Lorne sausage, tatty scones, Ayrshire bacon, and of course black pudding and baps, now you're talking!

Not tae mention Tunnocks, snowballs, clootie dumpling, ginger wine, and Irn Bru, mutton pie's, steak pie's, stovies, cullen skink, that's perfectly understandable.

God I'm getting kind of homesick ma self!

Cod and chips in the chippie just doon the road frae Hamilton races

Grannies lentil, pearl barley, pea, ham, and spud soup

Wonderful ice cream

I cannae go on, it's daein` my heid in!

Richard;

The puritans were actually English and they were more accurately referred to as separists.

They considered the puritans to be too soft.

Ahhh Christina, me thinks you must have had a few chilled glasses of wine. Bl***y cold in Scotland. Know Lapta has no water at the moment but over here we are water logged. Know where I would rather be and I think my aching joints would agree! Might miss the good scottish rolls but I would be willing to try making them, and all things considered could live without. Next time I am on the Ayrshire coast I will send you a postcard.
