I have been trawling through the posts on this forum, taking notes and getting informed - as I used to on the old TRNC villa owners website and also the Medview owners website. I have been doing this sort of 'homework' for several years - more a labour of love really - and always elko has been THE VOICE OF WISDOM. He may be new to this forum, but he has helped hundreds of people - I exaggerate not - answering their queries, correcting information and generally maintaining the camaraderie and cooperative spirit of these invaluable forums.

elko - you, like others (izzet for setting up and running this forum, ukturk, orangekazzie and simbas spring to mind) are to be commended for your endless knowledge and the time, patience, tolerance, humour, and general good nature that you always show when sharing it with others - you are a star and an asset - thankyou

I agree. I too was a member of most, if not all, of the MSN sites in the past and Elko was always on hand with a valid and helpful response.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I only found this site myself a few months ago and the information is excellent (sometimes also too technical for me )

I am always copying/pasting bits of info abot Sky/Digiturk , banking ,buying a car etc and saving it on disk.

I intend to print it all out and make up a file ready for when we move out in October.

Many thanks to all mentioned above.

Erkan & Ismet, (respect to you both)

Are very shy, and occasionally helpful to forum users. They do not like all the adulation that is being heaped on them.

As for myself I have been more than helpful and accommodating to one and all.

May have to wait a while for my "MHM" award

Tiggo.

congratulations elko.

I had to look twice at your photo, you are the spitting image of a guy I used to work with about 20 years ago!

Don't suppose you ever worked at the railway engineering works at Doncaster?

Suntanman,

No, I worked for CEGB (Central Electricity Generating Board) at Cockfosters from 1965 to 1967 and GEC (M-O Valve) at Hammersmith from 1967 to 1976. Some people say I look a little like Prince Charles!!!
