Continued.

I,m not sure that I would, if customers on holiday are not looked after then they will go elsewhere, when are the hoteliers etc going to realise that to get tourists here and have them return then some effort must be put in to cater for their needs, there are few enough of them so why not try to make the place attractive and provide things for them to spend their money on.

Don,t know what happened to the first post so here I go again.

Yesterday we went to Haci Ali Hotel, they were advertising a day by the pool for 10tl including a drink, good value we thought. The pool area was lovely, a cooling breeze from the sea, great we thought, then we looked around.

The pool bar was closed so the other halves went upstairs to fetch a drink, they were told that drinks could not be taken to the pool area, they explained to the staff that we would be sitting at the tables by the side of the pool so eventually we got our drinks, we really didn't want to sit in the restaurant in our wet swimsuits just to have a can of coke !!

In the restaurant there were about four or five waiters, more than there were customers at times, so why was there not a member of staff manning the pool bar, and perhaps offering ice creams for sale, that is what people spending the day by the pool want. There are few enough tourists and if this is the level of service offered will they come b

You seem suprised, this is normal in a locally run establishment, and part of the fun.

maybe, but it's not what tourists expect when they have spent their hard earned cash getting here, if these people don't get their act together then they only have themselves to blame if businesses go under. What is the point in bleating about lack of tourists if nothing is provided for them.
