I have had yet another accident with my laptop. I have lost the U key . Now all I type seems to need a UUUUUU. I didnt realise how many english words needed this vowel. It has taken me by surprise How many did i need in this

Find a post or something that has a 'u' or a capital 'U' in it and then just copy and paste the 'u' or 'U' when you want it - highlight the letter and then use Ctrl +C to copy, CTRL + V to paste...

Tip: Once you've 'copied' something, it stays there (on the clipboard') waiting to be pasted as many times as you like until you either copy something else, or shut the computer down.

If you didn't follow that, give me a shout, or just nobble some tech-savvy customer when they come in!

If as I think you mean and you have physically lost the key then just swap it with a less used key (eg [ ) and break out the tippex
