Ive seen a rifle shop in Girne as i drove passed, just wondered if you can just purchase those, or if you need a license.

Also if you can own handguns or shotguns etc.



Any other info youve got would be good.

They must be Air rifles and shotguns only.



Air rifle: .22 is max you can have.

shotguns: S/S or O/U, semi auto not allowed.

pistols: again must be air pistols.



not allowed anything else. there are no rifle( full bore) clubs or pistol clubs, only clays.

Yes you do need a licence even for an air gun, You have to have TRNC id card or residency to get a licence.

Cannot be sure about the airgun but I do believe you need some sort of permit from the police.

I can state that you will need a shotgun licence which is renewed every year on the 1st January, you also have to show this licence when purchasing cartridges.

Be careful how you proceed it is a serious offence here to own a weapon without the correct paperwork.

I think you also need police clearance letter from uk and lived minimum two years. thats what I was told when I tried to get one.
