Hi everyone, its been 99% decided that we will try and book Pia Bella Hotel for 1 week thru Anatolian Sky 3rd August. Been looking thru the reviews but can someone try and confirm that if you are not there for the Casino they will not put you in that part. Really coming for a rest and do not want flashing lights. Stayed there years ago and have no other problem with Pia Bella just being a bit cautious now I have read the reviews regarding the Casino side. If not we could be swayed to Oscars. Thanks

We stay Pia Bella third floor room 312 in the main Hotel overlooking the Pool. Never heard noise or had flashing lights they are the superior rooms, if you ask you can usually get the free upgrade if not wait until you get there and ask, they are very obliging and don't usually refuse you anything, never met anyone staying in the rooms over the Casino, the garden rooms are lovely too but again they are the superior rooms, the basic rooms are facing the main road and get road noise. Try Direct Traveller usually a bit cheaper and you can fly to Larnaca or Ercan.

Hi Woodspeckie, thanks for your reply. We have been searching around but its the flights to Larnaca that are late at night and not corresponding with our leave. I think my son has already checked Direct Traveller as well. Flights only are a ridiculous price also either to Ercan or Larnaca. When we stayed there years ago we had a room facing the road but there was less traffic then. Thanks Woodspeckie

Who ever you book with you can e-mail Pia Bella and ask for a certain room, you know then you get it if you request with travel agent it isn't guaranteed.

hi the rooms above the casino were rented by the casino , the whole block was rented by the casino for the casino offices, some management staff and casino players , I know because it was me that built the casino and installed the flashing neon. OOOPS. The hotel might have taken back a couple of the rooms when they were overbooked. But it was not usual. They of course want to sell there rooms first, also there is no lift in that part of the hotel, so its a hard climb up the stairs after a few effes.

The new building is first class and you will not be dissapointed.

The hotel as a whole is owned and run by Ali, he is there every day and most of the staff have been there for years. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly.

We found booking direct from the hotel had the best deal for us on a superior room and half board, the prices were better than any on the web, and you only pay a percentage of the room deposit, the rest when you get there or leave..

Dalar,

My family and I have stayed at The Pia Bella 3 times.

The first being over the reception were the noisy rooms are supposed to be.

The room was nice, but this was before the Casino was built!

Don't get the room next to the outside spiral staircase as it is noisy if a reception is on.

We subsequently asked for the annexe, just set back from the main building.

Only problem we had was getting a double room.

The staff are great people really friendly and make you feel relaxed and comfortable.

I have always booked direct with the hotel.

Julie

Hi everyone thanks for all your replies and yes we are staying at Pia Bella booked today. We have stayed there before many years ago and know Ali etc. My concern was just the Casino and the rooms after reading the other postings from the search. I think we have done the right thing and will wait to see our room when we get there. Its also because its nearer to walk to town etc. + also it came out one of the cheapest. Yeah its a bind the long flight to Ercan(via Istanbul) but it suited our pocket and good times for flights. Will let you know how our holiday goes, looking forward to it. Regards Sylvie

Nurseawful, my son used to work with Erkan at Sempati when it first opened and with Erkan at Club Z and it was a consideration but its too far out for us, we don't want a car all the time maybe just a couple of days. Well thats our plan at the moment and probably will go there for a drink etc. Many thanks

Not heard of the Deluxe rooms, usually standard and superior. Deluxe not advertised on the Pai Bella website gives details of the standard and superior only.

The Casino was seperate from the Hotel, it was either rented out or sold to the Casino owner, the money raised from that paid for upgrading on the Hotel.

Yes its says Deluxe Room next to the Superior rooms B&B or Half Board on the hotel reservation page when you put in the dates to book

I have confirmation from Reservation Department

Cuneyt Garabet.

A lot of the holiday web firms were not offering Half Board Deluxe rooms as an option only direct from the hotel itself..

Bigmomma, I can tell you that the Casino is definately open, I was on holiday there last week. Our room was over the top. Its open 24 hours and all nationalities going in and out. Also when the entertainment(Johnny Hawkins I think his name was) he was promoting the Casino. It does not affect the residents in Pia Bella it has a separate entrance.
