A pal arriving for a week in August is a keen experienced diver. Can anyone tell me where to send him for the best diving. We are in Bahceli.

From Bahceli is probably as quick to up to the Karpas. Marion is excellent and based at Malibu beach. 0533 3774867

Otherwise there are a lot of dive centres West of Girne.

Drew and Caroline are at the Turtlebay dive centre which is base at the Sempati Hotel in Lapta, they also have a boat for taking divers out. And I think they still take divers over to the south once a week.

Turtle Bay divers, dive twice a day normally, sea conditions allowing. They go to the Zenobia in Larnaca when they have enough interested divers. I was unlucky on my last trip, I was the only one wanting to go, so it wasn't viable.

Used to be a PADI instructor at Algadi beach but not sure if he's still there. Didn't see him in May but back in September and hoping he is.

Hi Breezyboy and Pearlbayer,

North Cyprus Scuba is still at turtle beach,

just finished my advanced with him his name is cengis bergun and is a brilliant instructor, he does boat dives and shore dives there is a good one near the power station where there is an under water mountain, and another good one at Esentepe which he takes you via his boat which is kept at Alagadi the one at Esentepe is the bomber that went down during the war and there is everything down there we find something new every time, the max depth to see everything is around 30 meters but if you went deeper you would find more he also has other sites I would advise you to see him very professional his details are as follows

Cengis Bergun

Thank you for replying. I also took the liberty of emailing to check out that he was still there. We went with Cenga because he has a fantastic reputation.
