Both my dominant organism and I are having severe breathing problems in this heat. We are thinking of having a bottle of oxygen and a mask to help us occasionally when things get really bad. Does anyone know where we can get these, please?

If no previous respiratory problems get an appointment with a respiratory clinic. Maybe if necessary inhalors will suffice. Domiciliary oxygen is not the solution if heat is the only thing that is causing the problem. Oxygen in the home environment is a last resort. Yes I did notice that you feel you have severe breathing problems, so once again I reitarate in very large letters GO IMMEDIATELY TO A RESPIRATORY CLINIC FOR REVIEW. Hope you find a solution soon, having a problem breathing is very frightning. Will watch your post to see how you get on.

Sorry me again, you and your wife may benefit from a nebuliser unit, even just using saline. I am sure someone in NC will be able to get you one of these units at a good price. These also work well using Ventolin nebs.

Go to Kyrenia Medical centre I was unable to breath or walk for 6 weeks. I saw a Dr Kemal and he prescribed medicine and a new inhaler and I am as fit as a butchers dog. I also thought I would be on oxygen as I was sent to hospital 3 times as unable to breath. Do what the others say - seek medical advice and you might find you have no need for it. Good Luck

A very great "thank you" to all your helpful replies which we appreciate very much. Yes I have a previous history of very poor breathing and have consulted four different doctors. I have a nebuliser using prescribed Pulmicort, I use ventolin inhalers like they are going out of fashion as well as ventolin tablets. I cannot use pulmicort inhaler because it makes me cough. I must have had a premonition about oxygen when I posted yesterday because about an hour after I was rushed to Girne A.& E . No waiting. I was dealt with IMMEDIATELY, EFFICIENTLY and with great KINDNESS. I cannot speak too highly of them. Among the treatment iI received I was hooked up to their internal oxygen system and four hours later I was a new man and they let me go home.

Try using just plain saline nebs along with the others. Glad you are a bit better. My husband has also been to Girne A&E and we found them very helpful.

Dear Boglefan. We do use what is known as a saltpipe which does seem to have some effect. Details of this are at http://www.saltpipescy.com
