hi guys

i received a email from digiturk trade department and as from 4th of april, digiturk are changing their packages and in my view for the worse especially for expats

the lowest package will still be 19.90 (new name gümüs koltuk) but in this package you wont get bbc prime no more and fox sports has also been removed the only english channels remaining are mymax - hallmark channel - mgm - action max - natinal geo & wild - cnbce - e2 - vh1 - mtv - eurosport



if you want to receive bbc prime and fox sports for the premire games you will have to fork out 43.90 (altin koltuk) in this package you get dizimax - comedy max- moviemax 1&2 - goldmax - history channel - zone reality - crime & investigation

in my view this a quite bad for people who just want to watch bbc prime for eastenders!!! lol and fox sports for their premire games and pay the least amount possiable

but i have been told if you take out a subscription before the 4th you will have the old package for at least a few months before everything reverts to the new price system so for all you people who have digiturk at the moment be prepeared for a price hike because the new basic package has nothing left on it

At least they've doing it at the time of year when television isn't watched that much. Bad marketing on their part really because if they wanted to have a full impact they should have done this in October when the nights are longer and you watch television more.

Last time we were over there last month we bought the basic package (gumus koltuk) basically for the fox sports and BBC prime. We forked out for the year, now Digiturk are renaging on there contract. Were does that put us Erkan?

the basic package which you got last month (ekonomik paket) and you paid a year up front will be ok but after that year has passed the new pricing system will be aplicable to you to, if they dare change this they will have a big problem because a legal binding contract has been signed unless in their clauses on the back of their contracts state otherwise, i will take a look at their contract but you should have nothing to fearif you have paid a year up front

i could not agree more it is visual torture in watching monach of the glen and bloddy ballykissangel at least with eastenders for us londoners it reminds us how terriable living in london really was!!!!! lol

i just come back from cyprus and i would like to thank you ukturk for the information about the tv satellite to have french channels - as you told me we have all the national french channels and the canalsat one plus lots of english, italian, spanish and more ....when you come in girn let us know

did you go for a next box on hotbird with the tps auto update this is by far the best system to go for without paying a monthly subscription

why do you want me to tell you when i come to girne are you going to buy me dinner and a drink!!!! LOL (only joking)

of course we will offer you a drink, fench hospitality is very important - we went to tektan with the paper i print about the next fta receiver and he offer us to install the dish and check if we can get what we want so it ist he dreambox which unlock almost all the channels except canal plus in french , he installed as well an other dish hotbird sowe have 2- 90 cm dishes and that dreambox - he toldus the price was 850 ytl - ihad to update myslf because they didn't know how to do it apparently we haven't pay yet - what do you think?

the dreambox is a good system but you have to have it connceted to the internet all the time not really worth it just so you can watch the french channels

if you are always living in cyprus i can send you the next box from over here in turkey and ill program the box for all the french channels and send it to you with cargo all you will have to do is put the money into my account and give me your address as soon as i receive the money ill sort the box out and send it to you normally takes 2-3 days to get to you

you can email me and we can talk about how we do this ok

p.s then all you do is have a 90cm dish put up pointed at hotbird and have the cable come in to where the tv is and then when i send the box you just plug it in simple and ill give you instructions on how to open the channels

the dreambox to work best and fully has to be connected to the internet, you can update the dreambox like the next box but this is not worth it price and time cos the whole idea of the dreambox is to receive channels thru the internet which in turn breaks the codes plus the person you bought it from does not know how to update it and its to hard for you to do it belive you me
