If anyone needs to call Arcelik Service with a problem, when you call the number it says press nine to continue in English, after about 2 mins the line goes dead, after several attempts and many days frustrated with washing piling up, A very irate Sheila decided to call into the Girne shop to find out why.

The guy said all matter of fact and polite OH dont bother with pressing nine for English just continue to hold on and when you speak they will get hold of someone to talk to you.

I then asked him to do it as I have called them out for the same problem 3/4 times in two months and paid around 80ytl each time.

He called and they are now coming tonight. (hopefully)

So remember DONT press the *9* button.

What a Service

Sheila

Sheila, what's the phone number please? and is it the same number for any arcelik appliance related issues?

I have a problem with my freezer as the seal that 'push' fits into the door does not seal properly in the top left corner of the door. I've removed the seal and turned it through 180 degrees to see if it solves it but no joy. Freezer seems to be working overtime as cold air leaking/blowing out in that corner and icing up. Thinkinf must need a new seal. I think its done this since new but just never noticed b4

We had a problem with our dvd player that we had from Arcelik that was still under guarantee took it back in May repaired it no probs , however we returned to UK before we could collect it from the shop , they held it there no probs and we collected on our last visit LAST WEEK brilliant service but deal with the manager of the shop as that phone number for repairs can be a bit of a nightmare . The manager is a really nice guy very helpful . Hope this helps

I paid over 1,000 pounds for a generator at Arcelik, Girne. As I live in a penthouse (don't dump no rubbish from balcony Brins) I had to pay 75tl to have it delivered. Within one month the battery stopped charging, even with a mains charger. Not covered by guarantee said Arcelik. Within 6 months the recoil starter rope snapped, not covered. Bought new battery but something loose inside, still within 12 months warranty. Started ok but rattled like a snake and wouldn't run anything. Eventually got someone from Arcelik to call and look at it. His English was worse than my Turkish. He looked the genny over then phoned Arcelik and gave me the phone, I was told the repair would be carried out under warranty but I had to take the genny to Karsiyaka. I asked where in Karsiyaka and was given a phone number. It was the guy's stood next to me. He managed to tell me to go to golden lady and phone him. Glad we don't get many power cuts because my state of the art genny is now a bloody plant stand
