Has anyone ever got anything or use Amazon UK regularly for deliveries to Cyprus?

If so, is the delivery expensive and how long does shipping take?

Direct your mail Mersin 10, Turkey. Do not mention Kibris or Girne/kyrenia and do it now before Stavros goes back to work at the sorting office to scupper all such addressed mail.

stavros is such an intelligent, knowledgeable chap! The mail is sorted in Istanbul, Izmir or other airports and forwarded to Nicosia for distribution. Nothing to do with the Mersin region!

I have had books and CDs sent from Amazon to TRNC, best to use a business address, I also used the US amazon - the books were cheaper and they had the more unusual ones I wanted. What I usually do is compare prices (UK v US) - including postage before clicking the "buy" button.

if mail is lost in 'Turkey' as stavros states then how come mail only from the uk goes missing? mail from the rest of the world addressed to mersin 10 Turkey in the same way as from uk ,all arrives and quickly. this is just a uk problem. mail from trnc to the uk is very quick and i haven't heard anyone say they never received something sent from here! so maybe stavros you can have a word with your 'friend's' in the uk sorting offices and tell them to leave our mail alone. it isn't the behaviour expected of 'adults'.

Msg 10

Stavros has a problem with himself, maybe we could have a whip round and buy him a white stick!

You can order from Amazon in the US.

I ordered a book and it turned up in the scheduled time to my PO Box in TRNC can't remember exactly but postage costs were reasonable.

Been having books delivered from Amazon UK for years to TRNC - never had a problem. I notice recently that the packages are actually coming from Germany. I also order from Bibliophile (UK), no problem with them either - their parcels come via Switzerland.

Msg. 10. Denise you are talking through your hat when you say that only mail posted in UK goes missing. I have purchased items on ebay from USA, Australia, Sweden, New Zealand and the UK which have never arrived. Needless to say I don't any more. When I make a purchase now I have it sent to my daughters address in UK and she will forward it to any of our friends who are coming out. Funny enough I have had no problems with items bought in Germany---maybe the Turks are frightened of them!
