My photograph on this board shows me with a glass of read wine in my hand and I have noticed in the last few weeks that this seems to depict to some posters that I am a wino or an alcoholic. This very far from the truth.I was on holiday at the time and attending a anniversary party and was having a nice time with not a care in the world bothering me.I would suggest some of YOU try the same thing, works wonders, but you are all so worked up about how much money you are loosing,or you might have to pay some more tax for something or other its a wonder some of you have not had mental break downs. Chill out for Gods sake and enjoy life, its short enough as it is without your stress ful laden lives make it any shorter. I gave up worrying about anything after I had my heart operation and I enjoy every single day of my second chance. At least I have a photo up there for all to see,and not hiding behind a blank space. Some of you cant even put down the correct information that is asked of you...

Looks like nobody can take a joke on here. Don't give a monkies what you have in your hand, what you are drinking now, where you have just come from or what you're spelling is like. Sorry to have upset you and burt , burty or cazim.

I think you are directing a lot of criticism towards me. No worries, I drink beer everyday, need too in this heat! No harm meant but with a glass of wine in your hand, does lend itself to conclude that you like a tipple!

Yes Burty I would like to know if you have a sense of humour. As I stated I was joking. British sense of humour perhaps you don't possess this yet.

I do posess this thank you very much just I find people on forums who find the need to mention spelling mistakes to be very sad and rather annoying!

Brty1987..I do apologise.Thought your initial reply was aimed at me but now that you have explained I can see the sense in it. It was his way of telling me not to be concerned about what was being said..I hope you will accept my apology..hope you enjoy your life in TRNC.

Brinsley...It was not aimed at you specifically as you are not the only one.Hope you drink water as well as beer. I can only drink 3 units a day because I had major heart surgery 5 years ago. Yes I do enjoy a couple of glasses but that does not make me an alcoholic. Like i said We tried Laithewaites for a couple of years and did not always lioke the selection they were sending so we packed them in.Nexttime they send us one of these "please comeback" leaflets I will have another look. Still say that Lidls Chilean takes some beating for the price...

In South Africa, the winos/tramps buy a loaf of uncut bread, remove the crust at one end, then pour in the meths and catch it in a cup at the bottom...apparently the bread acts as a kind of filter.....trouble is, they tend to eat the bread after!!! Anyway, just a little suggestion in case anyone fancies trying it out!!

Just for the record, I notice my photo shows a glass of beer in the foreground. I'd just like to point out for the record that I don't drink pints of beer everyday either.

Its actually Strongbow!

(And for fellow cider aficeindos, Starling sells Strongbow 500ml cans at 2.60 TL each)

And as far as I'm concerned, the definition of an alcoholic is someone you don't like who drinks just as much as you do.

Harita ...I will treat that remark with the comtempt it deserves..

Stavros..You want to be careful about saying people employ illegal workers, could cost you alot of money if you have no evidence to back it up with..I am quite surprised that you know what a Helicopter is.Oh,I bet you had one of those toy plastic ones when you still wet behind the ears and mummy was taking you to school...

DD - no, not really. I do it all the time

Coachie - I'm sure that those of us on here with a modicum of sense (not many, admittedly) know that you do not have, in any way, shape or form, a problem (with drink or anything else, for that matter). Don't let it get to you.

PS Although I must admit, I do find your political leanings a bit difficult to get my head round but, they're your beliefs, you're entitled to them and I admire your principles.

All the best.

PaulW..I have the same problem with other peoples political beliefs..goes both ways.. Thought for one moment DD was suggesting something to me.Only thing I use meths for is a little stove my late father in law made during the war. Because I am a Socialist Paul it does not mean I believe in all of their policies, some are downright ludicrous and no decent socialist would let them get away with it...

Coachie, You stick to a couple of glasses of red wine everyday one of the Heart Surgeons I worked with a few years ago in Scotland actually recommended this after heart surgery. So now we can call it your medicine!!

Enjoy,, life too short as it is not to.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of a tipple.

Rob..mylife long allegiance to the labour party does not cause ne any more concern than any tory party members allegiance to their party..They both have there right and wrongs. As ihave said before because i am a socialist it does not mean i believe in all their policy decisions. some of the tory supporters on this forum are in for a rude awakening very shortly.. well I do not smoke any more packed in 5years ago,so with a bit of luck I might emulate your grandmother.

Clarets..touchee monsuire(pardon the spelling if is wrong)
