Hi All, Good Lord I really have stirred up a Hornets nest!

I would like to make a few things very clear:

1) I am a professional friendly, honest person.

2) I am not a racist or prejudice. (Far from it!)

3) I have close friends from all walks of life and races.

4) I do NOT wish to steal work from anybody!

5) I just want to live and work and pay my taxes in beautiful Cyprus!

6) UNFORTUNATELY I do not have a $100,000 to start a business

7) I would gladly employ and train locals in Cyprus.

8) I am a Foreigner in my own country so I may as well be one in somebody elses!

9) I have invested in Cyprus thus creating employment?

10) Cool down and LETS change the subject!!!! PLEASE!

Hi Nunu1

If you really do need to work to live then you always have the option of working in the South. You can cross the border daily. Lots of people do this I understand. That way you wouldn't need to set up your own business and will not be breaking the law.

Just a thought.

Karen

hi nunu

yes mate sometimes you get people on the forum that take things to the next level!!!! lol

i know many tradesman who work in the building industry who do go over to the south and earn quite a good income, another idea can be approach some of the property management companies like lynx that carry out repairs on properties and that way you can easily obtain a work permit and let the company you are working for deal with all the taxes and paperwork

hope this helps

and once again good luck on your adventure

ukturk

p.s i must say your number 8 point made me chuckle

nunu before you get deported would you give us a quote for our rads and boilers lol

on a serious note we are in need of a reliable honest tradesman and want to pay what is reasonable and get value for money. whther that be a local or a foreigner

I wish you all the best in whatever you do

I tried to join the sovereign based police force to no avail so will have to pull off a bank heist before we come to live there for good

hi nunu1 ,fitting boilers in that heat is very draining imho.

i visited my mums last year and fitted her combi for her and it completely knackered me out some holiday lol.

respect to anyone that wants to work in that heat.

i also had to sort out someone elses boiler as the rads wernt getting hot and the locals visited several times but didnt have a clue which took me 10 mins to sort out .that is the biggest problem having a trade as everyone wants u especially as i was free being on holiday.

ps i work for british gas.

good luck to you.
