Thanks NatAless, the lady who I am refering too has always had her stall at the back entrance to the market, next to a lady that sells jam I think??

Anyway, by the sounds of it it might be worth a trip up anyway, if there is a few stalls selling clothes now??

Might see you tommorow!!

And thanksx

I have got some things in 16 and 18 and 20 but majority other sizes - have added some other items now - not doing Karakum as will see how Lambousa goes first as its my first time. Maybe next week depending on how busy will be tomorrow.

If you want to avoid the heat you can come even earlier! Stalls have started setting up very early in the last few weeks from 8/9am! Normally it starts at 9.30am but lots of customers are turning up early!

Lots of umbrellas and a shaded bar for a cool drink afterwards!

See you tomorrow!

I have some big sized clothes to sell too!

Have any of you ladies tried The Dress Agency in town, we sell clothes from size 8 - 22, all named brands at a fraction of the price, most are nearly new and some never worn with labels but in great condition. M&S, Zara, Oasis, designer makes, shoes, evening wear, you name it. We are open Monday to Saturday 09:00-14:00 and closed Thursdays.

Please everyone be careful telling the world when people are on holiday and maybe there property will be empty. Use an email, in these times when burglaries are on the increase please think that this forum is being checked by the thieves too.

Do you need a licence or work permit to have a stall at the market, coz i have some new stuff, old stock from a business i used to run, and i need to sell it, anyone know?

Also, is it like a UK car boot sale, does anyone know the cost of a stall, & how much space do you get etc?

Was more like a jumble sale than a market. Stampede first thing before even set up stall. What an experience. Sold a lot but still have ladies clothes left if anyone interested. Size 10 - 20.

It was before Christmas 8ytl to have a stall at Lambousa, and I never had a licence as it was all second hand goods wanting to get rid of children's toys/clothes etc but I feel sure if its only personal things you wouldn't need a permit, once it gets cooler I will be having another one for a few weeks to shift some unwanted bits and bobs

HI, It's 10 lira for a table now at the market and you need to phone Ian to book a table. His number is 05338730301. Yes the market is starting earlier as it is so hot, and the "jumble sale approach" is only at the tables that are selling off things they no longer want, i.e. clothes, household goods etc. Well we all like a bargain, and first come gets the best bargains. The garden part is quite cool and that is where the bar is with tables and chairs under umbrellas. So don't be put off by the heat, there are still a lot of bargains to be had.

Thanks for pointing that out Stella.

There are only a few stalls selling bric-a-brac and jumble. There are many others including clothes, jewelry, foods, plants, books, cds, dvds, pictures and other bespoke, handmade or hard to find items as well as many handicraft stalls. The BRS has just joined and we have about four charity stalls from the likes of Children in Need, Spot and periodically SOS and others.

So do you sell from the back of your car or do you need to carry it all to a table?

Michelle, you need to carry your goods to the table. Distance isn't far as you can park in one of the two car parks both of which are very close to the market area.

Hope that helps.
