Just come back to GB and would like to tell others who perhaps like to eat TC food whilst in N.C. Have been going to the Lapida hotel in Lapta for evening meals and their lunches of mezi, and cannot fault the hospitality of this Turkish Cypriot family for the last 4 years.

Fethi is always so welcoming and his mother cooks all the dishes herself, just ask and they will do and at a reasonable price. In fact this family run hotel is cheaper than most on the Lapta straight!

Happy eating to you all lol

PS. my lol is 'love on line' x

That is good to know. Have passed the hotel many times but never been in. So I guess we should. Looks like a lovely place.

Yep its got a good pool for kids, (my grandkids loved it there) plenty of space for kids to run around and play without being a pest to other people.

Fethi does B.Q as well, plus the kids think its great to sit and have a shandy with the grown ups. Its just a very friendly place

My wife and I were sent there from the Sempati, and had a very enjoyable stay. Fethi and Maria, his mother, are most hospitable and welcoming. On our arrival it was the owner, Fethi, who greeted us and helped carry our bags in.

We are now in our own villa in Esentepe, but make a point of driving a fair way down to Lapta to see them and have a meal with them. Fethi loves to sing and play his guitar, and the atmosphere is as pleasant and relaxed as anyone could wish for.

We'll be seeing them again this September when we come again for another period.

Its so good to hear that others have started to support the local folks, when we first bought in Lapta, we would walk around the roads as you do, and watched this family hotel start from scratch, it was a struggle for them as Fethi's mother could not speak hardly a word of English, we communicated through signs and just laughs and demonstrations!! She didnt even have the facilitys to make a proper drink but she came up with something. Fethi was not even there hardly at all in the beginning as he was away working very hard and sending money to his mother who would then get some more building work done, etc. They are still doing things to the Hotel as the money comes in, and it is interesting to see that every time we go over what Fethi and mum have done. Fethi is there all the time now, and mum can speak English to a standard that most can understand, of course Fethi can speak ex English and is always so happy, and more importantly, is so happy to help you.

Just thought we would >>>>

Fehti and his mum are lovely. The hotel is very accommodating and they will do anything to make you welcome and enjoy your stay, even if the stay is just for a meal or a drink. Please give then your support
