Flat screen TV repair recommendations

Hi



I have a 32 in Crown flat screed TV which started displaying flourescent colours, usually reds and greens so I took it to Tektan in Girne last year and they charged me 300 TL to fix it.



Now its doing exactly the same thing again and I'm reluctant to take it back to get stung again. It could be the scan converter but I don't know enough about TVs.



Can anyone recommend a reliable reasonable TV repairer?

Surely, if the same problem reoccured within the year they should repair it FOC. Phone and ask them and should they say NO berate them on this forum. I think their reputation might persuade Tektan to take a conciliatory stance.

A few years ago I tried "berating" Tektan on TRNC villa owners site. I was overcharged by them big time. Ali Tektan contacted me, on site, making promises about rectifying the overcharge if I gave him my E- mail address. I did but never heard from him again. I used to bttp my message but to no avail. 6 years on and still waiting for Ali to reply.

Hi Brins, I'm getting to recognise them now though. If they're TC and speak good English with a slight cockney accent, beware. The language ain't the only thing they learnt in The Smoke.

My 32" Flat Screen went bang, big time, black smoke pouring out of it. I took it to Tektan and they repaired it no problem, think it was around 200tl which I thought was excellent price.

OK. I rang Tektan, explained the situation and they have told me to bring the TV in tomorrow (Monday).



I'll keep you posted on what sort of service I receive. And thats not a pun!

And Tony I resent your comment about TC's with a cockney accent being crooks, maybe an apology is in order??



I am a TC that happens to have a very cockney South London accent, dont see how that makes me a crook mate!!
