Jungle Formula do an afterbite spray for mossie bites and stings. Also Vape Derm Herbal stick is available in most supermarkets. You just dab it on the bite and it takes the itch out. Pongs a bit though.

Prevention always better than cure, get Jungle Formula which comes in a spray or lotion and apply early evening to avoid getting bitten in the first place.

Hey, Trog, 'OFF' (Johnsons) is an insect repellent spray, NOT after bite!

I learned many years ago to make up my own after bite 'lotion'. It can be sprayed or dribbled on, so you need a small bottle or an old 'Johnsons OFF' spray container, or similar.

Buy medical ammonia from the pharmacy, fill up bottle 3/4 full and add a teaspoon and a half of Johnsons Baby Oil, plus a few drops of essential oil - i.e. Tea Tree Oil, or Lavender Oil.

Always shake the bottle liberally before application so that the ammonia stays in emulsion, and don't spray in confined spaces, neither on or near children and pets. Keep out of reach of children.

Several applications may be required before irritation subsides. Try to spray as soon as possible after being bitten.

Never spray on delicate skin or face.

Don't attempt to carry this on board an aircraft!

You can buy the 'pencils' containing a similar mixture, but they're far to expensive for what they are and are used up quickly!

Thanks, CarrieRBag - even though I make up my own mix, it's useful to know where to buy something effective as an alternative!
