I may be many months out of date with this one, but my daughter has just e mailed me and told me to go to U Tube and type in Voice of Blood - it is in 5 parts a most fascinating look at Cyprus through a Greek Cypriots eyes. I know he made a film but I never got to see it and know that he was tormented by the GCs for writing the book and the making of the film. Great programme.

I've just watched the whole video and found it extremely moving. Antonis Tony Angastiniotis has told it how it was.

I found the film accidentally quite a while ago.

Seeing visual evidence like this makes you realise how good the Greek Cypriot propaganda machine is, and makes you wonder why the rest of the world supports the Greek Cypriots and not the Turkish Cypriots.

i watched the whole thing when i got back last night, absolutly shocking, those poor people! Even the likes of the pro-gcs on this board, you know who they are, havent even posted, because these actions are undefendable! i suppose none of them can claim,it was GC bodies,or they used actors that lied,it was filmed elsewhere etc, etc. I dont know how they'll ever sort thier problems out with so much that has happened in the past, but if they do it'll be nothing short of a miracle. Even in Ireland they never wiped out whole villages!

The greek hatred for these people at that time must have ran so deep and i wonder if some of it still doesnt exist, why are they investing in 41 russian tanks when there are peace talks going on?Its an island, there is only one side that theyd ever be used on if they ever did use them. Anyway,i try to stay out of political posts on this board,i'm not into politics either in the uk, i just hope these 2 peoples can find a way to put their differences behind them.

I went to see this film in Lefkoşa a few yrs ago when it was first released. The journalist Antonis Tony Angastiniotis, gave a small talk about his life afterwards and he also "challenged" any Turkish Cypriot journalist to make a similar film by interviewing greek Cypriots who had suffered in a similar way. To the best of my knowledge no such film has been made yet.

very moving and thought provoking film - just watched it - it out to be made compulsary viewing on Greek side ( probably make no difference to the hardliners though).

There is a sequel to that film and it is called 'Trapped in the Green Line' It comprises of a book and a DVD.

The ISBN No. is 975-98959-9-4. Tony Angastiniotis and his family have been vilified and threatened with death by their own people.

He is a very brave man.

Would anyone know where I can purchase the book 'Trapped in the Green Line' by the same author as Voice of Blood. I had a copy but before I read it loaned it out and it was never returned. Before my daughter went home at the weekend she purchased 4 copies of the Genoside Files to give to people who seem to think that Cyprus is a 'Greek Island'.

Strange that there are no comments from the dark side sympathisers about this film.
